PETER PAN - PART 2

As I mentioned before, I think that the book is written in an absolutely beautiful language. It's creative, different and magical. And even if it is written in an old-fashioned kind of way, I don't have any trouble reading it.

The part of the book that I have recently read takes place in the Darling-childrens nursery at first. Their nursery is not described very detailed, but I imagine it quite classic. Three beds in a row, a dresser, a closet, a mirror and I can recall that nightlights are mentioned. Peter Pan comes flying into the room and introduces himself, and after a long talk with Wendy and her brothers, Peter learns them to fly. In order to be able to fly away, they have to think happy and wonderful thoughts.

Peter takes them to Neverland, and I have not reached much further in the book. Though, Peter introduces the Darling-children to his friends, the fairies and he tells stories about capten Hook. I have not yet been told about Neverland and its environment, but when I think of it I imagine a beautiful forest with flowers, waterfalls and sun shining through the treetops. And the forest is filled with pirates and magical creatures, such as fairies and mermaids.

I keep getting surprised over all the intelligence in the book. The author's imagination must have been without any limits. The book is so full of wonderful sentences that I had to underline my favourites, and I also felt like it was my duty to show at least one of them to you.
Here is from page 33 in the book, when Peter explains to Wendy how fairies are born.
"You see, Wendy, when the first baby laughed for the first time, its laugh broke into a thousand pieces, and they all went skipping about, and that was the beginning of fairies."
I would very much like, if just for one day, to visit Neverland with all the pirates, fairys and mermaids. Wouldnt that be lovely?

Excellent! I like the fact that you decide to end your description with a rhetorical question :-)
